About Me

It's always difficult to write an About Me section... I mean, I could've avoided it, but it's always good to write one... it's like a self-evaluation or something. 

Note: Never ask your family to describe you... they are love-blind! They exaggerate things in a ridiculous way!

The night was dark and full of terrors labor contractions. My birth certificate states that I was born in Tijuana, Mexico at 0:45, on Veteran's Day in the US, 11-11-91! A magic number! I mean, you can write that date no matter the order for the US or Mexico, mwahahaha! I later learned that I share my birthday with Leonardo DiCaprio and that that coincidence makes me cool for some reason. I think Carlos Fuentes also had his birthday that day, I'd need to check. My parents were in an appropiate age to have kids, 31 and 33, they were still a bit mad for each other back then, and my dad's job was prosperous. All was good. 

But I'm not going to bore people about my silly life. So, here's a summary:

1. I have a sister who's almost 5 years younger than me.
2. Wall-e (the dog) and Eva (the rabbit) are also part of the family.
3. I was the youngest person at class every single year.
4. I've always been an introvert and anxious person.
5. I used to have good grades at school until a year before Uni. My mom still keeps my diplomas somewhere.
6. My dad was the reason I started to get interested in books.
7. J.K.Rowling was the reason I started to get interested in writing. Has she disappointed me? YES.
8. I loved Irish dancing. I also tried ballet and danced flamenco for a while.
9. I tried to learn guitar and piano.
10. I learned English until I was 19, so my writing and speaking aren't perfect.
11. I went to France for a month and got a B1... I don't remember much now.
12. I'm not good at making or keeping friends.
13. I considered cooking or dancing as majors before even considering translating or writing.
14. I have writer's blocks constantly.
15. I belong to a lot of fandoms: I'm a Potterhead, I'm Team Iron Man, I'm a Jedi, I'm a CSer... I could go on.
16. It's difficult for me to pick a favorite book, author or song.
17. I like to dye my hair dark red.
18. I used to wear heavy glasses.
19. I don't know what else to write :)
