I have to say, that Harry Potter is to blame in a lot of things in my life... good things!

It was 2007. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was out and the whole world was reading it... but not me. I had to wait for I don't know how many months for its translation in Spanish... Or that's what I thought. I found the transcription of the book on the internet and I was losing it. There it was, the last one, the end of my childhood... and in English.

Even though I have been very close to the most important English speaking country in the world, that didn't mean I was good with it. I had learned some songs but that didn't mean I actually knew what they were about completely. But when the HP7 arrived... I knew I needed to know everything before anyone could spoil me the best books I had ever read.

So, I made the impossible in a couple of days: I read the book, in English, understanding half (or maybe less) of it, but with English-Spanish dictionaries to help me. It was the beginning of my translation career and I didn't know that by then! A couple of years later, I was having an interview at the university. One of the teachers asked me about any translation attempts and BOOM! Harry Potter to the rescue! I studied English, I cried because of my school asignments more than once, but I made it and got the Bachelor's Degree. The goal? Become a book translator! And I have to say it: I'm getting there little by little.
